34 weeks!

Eva will be here in the next 3-5 weeks!

At my most recent growth ultrasound, Eva measured in at a healthy 4lb 12oz (39th percentile) and 17-18 inches.  She might grow a little bit taller, but will largely be gaining weight and cuteness :)

Her room is almost ready...pictures to go up when it is!

Here I am at 34 weeks...

January Arts and Crafts

Time for an Ethan only post :)

Ethan went from being anti-Home Depot to asking to go to Home Depot thanks to the free (yay!) arts and crafts event they hold the first Saturday of every month. I think we've only missed one month since we started going.

This month, he got to build, paint and decorate a savings shed (think piggy bank). I did not get a picture of the finished product, but rest assured, it was the best one there!

Too busy checking out the other kids to focus!
Showing off some hammering skills...
This 2 year old is way too happy with a hammer!
The best part of arts and crafts? Painting!

33 weeks!

Here I am, writing my 33 week post. It's hard to believe that I've been doing these weekly posts for so long, and how they are coming to an end. Or they'll be replaced shortly with regular (hopefully!) posts about the adventures of our little girl and her big brother.

At 33 weeks, Eva is over 4lbs and at least 17 inches long. I'll get a more exact measurement on Tuesday when I go in for another growth ultrasound. She'll grow another inch or 2 and gain somewhere in the neighborhood of 1/2 lb per week. We won't get into how much weight mommy's gained with this pregnancy, everytime I think about it I get upset! Oh well. Breastfeeding will take that off in a hurry (seriously it will!).

32 weeks!

32 weeks down and 5-7 to go :)

This week Eva is going on 4lbs and 17 inches. She has toenails, fingernails and she's looking less wrinkly by the day as she fills in with all that adorable baby fat for her big debut. I hope she has hair, but I will love her anyways!

Cravings have been strange - chicken sandwiches, steak tacos and fruit (specifically cantaloupe). Oh, and I guess beans. Which is really really REALLY weird in my book! Oh well :)

31 weeks!

I'm over 31 weeks pregnant with Eva now!

If you've been following this blog, you know that for the weekly posts, I like to put what Eva's up to. Sometimes, however, I think it's just silly. For example, this week they talk about how at 31 weeks, the baby moves a lot and the movement can keep you up at night...well, yeah. She's been doing that for quite some time now!!!

Anyways, little Eva is over 16 inches long, so she probably won't be getting a whole lot taller, but she'll be getting adorably chubbier, since she's not quite 3.5 lbs yet. That is okay with me, I would like it if she was a smaller baby like Ethan (who was 6lb 3oz when he was born).

Sometime in the next 6-8 weeks, we'll all be meeting her!

My Only Sunshine

Ethan decided to serenade me at breakfast yesterday morning, a little mumbly, but he is trying to sing "You are My Sunshine". He is indeed my happy sunshine boy!!!
